MyTheraPlayBox was created by paediatric occupational therapists to help parents support their child’s development at home.
We focus on practical tools and clear guidance for everyday skills like fine motor development, regulation, and confidence, so families can feel more supported between therapy sessions and daily life.
Because even when you are doing everything you can, it can still feel overwhelming.
You are doing everything you can, and it still feels overwhelming
You show up every day, juggling appointments, routines, and advice from different professionals. Between sessions, you want to support your child’s progress at home, but it is hard to know where to start or what will actually help.
Many parents tell us this feels familiar:

- You are never quite sure if what you're doing is actually helping
You are not meant to figure this out alone.
Whether you need hands-on tools or expert guidance on specific challenges, there is a way to support your child that actually fits your life.
Choose the support that fits your child and your family
Every family's journey is different. That's why we offer two ways to get expert occupational therapy support at home, so you can choose what fits your child's needs, your schedule, and your budget.
There is more than one way to support your child, and you don’t have to do it all at once.

What Parents Say
-
"It's not overwhelming. Just clear, kind, and actually useful. I feel like I have a therapist's voice in my head now, helping me think through things."
Maya, mum of 4-year-old with sensory processing differences -
"It's exactly what I needed to keep therapy going at home."
Ina, mum of 5-year-old with developmental delay -
"The swimming guide was eye opening. I finally understood why my daughter was refusing to get in the pool, it wasn't stubbornness, it was sensory overload from the echoing sounds and the feeling of wet clothes. Once I could see where her difficulties were actually coming from, I knew how to help. We started with the guide's gradual exposure steps, and now she's comfortable in the water. Understanding the 'why' changed everything."
Sarah, mum of 5-year-old with sensory processing differences -
"Having something I can reference on my phone during hard moments has been so helpful. I don't have to remember everything, I can just check the guide."
Tom, dad of 6-year-old with autism -
"I wish every family had access to this kind of support at home"
Janette, Paediatric Occupational Therapist -
"Finally, a product that understands what we actually need at home. It’s not just fun, it helps my child build the exact skills we talk about in therapy."
Sam, mum of 7-year-old with sensory difficulties

Frequently Asked Questions
What is MyTheraPlayBox?
MyTheraPlayBox is an occupational therapist designed resource service for families supporting children with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences. We offer two types of support: monthly therapy inspired play boxes delivered to your door, and downloadable digital guides covering specific developmental challenges. Everything is created by qualified paediatric OTs to help you support your child's progress at home, in between therapy sessions and throughout everyday life.
What's in our subscription box?
The MyTheraPlay Box is a monthly subscription box curated by paediatric occupational therapists. Each box contains therapist selected toys, fine motor activities, and hand strengthening tools, along with a guided activity plan that shows you exactly how to use each item to support your child's development. It is designed to make home based therapy support practical, consistent, and achievable for busy families.
What are the Digital Guides?
Our Digital Guides are comprehensive, downloadable resources written by paediatric occupational therapists to help parents tackle specific challenges with confidence. Topics include swimming and sensory sensitivity, emotional regulation, toileting, mealtime difficulties, haircuts support and more. You get immediate access after purchase and can reference them on your phone during challenging moments, before appointments, or share them with your child's educators and caregivers.
What is the difference between the TheraPlay Box and the Digital Guides?
The MyTheraPlay Box is a monthly hands on subscription with physical tools and activity plans delivered to your door every month, ideal for families who want consistent, structured support over time. The Digital Guides are instant access downloadable resources focused on a specific challenge or topic, ideal when you need expert guidance right now without committing to a subscription.
What age is MyTheraPlayBox designed for?
Our resources are designed primarily for children aged 4 to 8 with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, or developmental delays. Many activities and guides are also suitable for younger or older children depending on their individual stage of development. If you are unsure whether our resources are right for your child, feel free to get in touch.
Who creates the MyTheraPlayBox resources?
Everything: the boxes, the activity guides, and the digital resources is created by qualified paediatric occupational therapists with hands on clinical experience. Our resources are not generic parenting content. They are evidence informed, practically designed tools that reflect how children with additional needs actually develop and learn.
How do I know if the TheraPlay Box is actually helping my child?
Each box includes parent reflection prompts, gentle cues to help you notice small wins and track your child's progress month to month. The guided activity plan also links each activity to meaningful everyday skills like dressing, writing, or emotional regulation, so you can see the connection between play and real life progress.
What kinds of skills does MyTheraPlayBox support?
Our resources focus on fine motor development, hand strength, visual perception, prewriting and pencil control, sensory regulation, and emotional regulation. These are foundational skills that underpin everyday tasks like getting dressed, eating independently, holding a pencil, managing transitions, and participating in school activities.
Can MyTheraPlayBox replace occupational therapy?
No, and it is not designed to.
MyTheraPlayBox is designed to complement your child's existing therapy by giving you practical tools and guidance to support skill development in between sessions. Think of it as a way to extend the work your OT is already doing into your home and daily routine. If your child does not yet have an OT, our resources can also be a helpful starting point while you are on a waitlist or exploring support options.
Is MyTheraPlayBox suitable if my child does not have a diagnosis?
Yes. While our resources are designed with neurodiverse children in mind, you do not need a diagnosis to benefit from them. Many families use MyTheraPlayBox simply because their child is struggling with fine motor skills, sensory sensitivities, or emotional regulation, and they want practical, expert backed support at home.
Can I cancel or pause my subscription?
Yes. You can manage, pause, or cancel your TheraPlay Box subscription at any time through your account settings on the website, or by contacting our support team directly. We believe in flexibility, life with kids is unpredictable, and we want the subscription to work for your family, not add stress.
Can I use NDIS funding for MyTheraPlayBox?
MyTheraPlayBox resources are not NDIS funded. Our boxes and digital guides are educational and therapy inspired tools created by occupational therapists to support skill development at home, they are not classified as therapy and are not eligible for NDIS claims. All purchases are made out of pocket at checkout. We have designed our resources to be as accessible as possible for families who are funding support themselves.
Can I Customise the Products in the MyTheraPlayBox?
At this time, we do not offer customizations for individual boxes. However, we work hard to curate each box with a variety of products that support different needs and interests.
Can I gift MyTheraPlayBox to someone?
Absolutely! My TheraPlayBox makes a great gift for parents and caregivers of children with special needs. You can purchase a gift subscription on our website and we will handle the rest.
