Is this suitable for my child if they do not have a diagnosis?
Yes. The box is designed for children who benefit from sensory and skill building play, whether or not there is a formal diagnosis in place. If your child has sensory sensitivities, fine motor difficulties, attention challenges, or simply learns best through hands on activity, the box is relevant for them.
Do I need any therapy knowledge to use the box?
None at all. The parent guide in every box tells you exactly what each item is for, how to use it, and what skill it is building. It is written in plain language for parents, not clinicians. You do not need any prior knowledge to get real value from the activities.
Is this a replacement for occupational therapy?
No, and it is not designed to be. MyTheraPlayBox is a home-based tool that complements professional OT support. It is ideal for families using it alongside therapy sessions, or for families on a waitlist who want to start building skills at home now. If your child has significant developmental needs, professional OT assessment and support is always recommended alongside.
